I'm working on the reg thing. Forgot to export last time I had a 98 machine around before formatting. Don't have one right now, but I'll be putting together an old one from parts as soon as I have some time. The unfortunate thing is, you still need to physically do the install on a 98 machine, because you need the files all extracted into their proper locations, you can't just copy the files off the CD. So, even will the reg keys, you still need access to 98 to run an install which you can then copy. It'll prolly fit on a cd, so mabye when I get this going, I can burn some copies of the install folder and put a .reg file on there that will make the entries for you and mail them to whoever wants it. latah, j

Update: The win2k thing only worked on 2 out of 6 machines I tried. However, another work around which so far is 100% successfull is to install it proper on a 98 machine, copy the whole install folder, then manually making the appropriate registry entries. Basically, the game runs fine in XP, it's just the WINSNIFF prog in the install that has an issue. Make sure if you do the copy method, you make sure the location of the directory remains the same (ie c:\prog files\etc...) or else your registry entries will be wrong. Of course you can just change the reg entries to include the proper path if you want to put it on a different drive letter or something. Good luck. j

Just got the install program to go by runnning in Win2K comp mode. Instead of the system analyzer crashing, it actually just gets some error due to OS but lets you install. Had a crash when I tried to exit a race that was going, but at least it's running. Good luck... j
