    Unused SWAP :-(

    I have installed RED HAT 9.0, and it works fine for a time ..After using some applications my memory decrease so much that my OS isn't working properly any more.. When i boot 'swap' is activated and enabled,but when i type 'free' at a command shell it shows me that swap is using 0MB !!!! I have 513 MB ram and 1024MB swap...
