    Installing Firefox

Just a specification: once uncompressed and unpacked the tar.gz file, there is nothing more to be instaledl! Firefox is already there and needs only to be launched. This has a main consequence: Firefox is exactly where you unpack the tar file. Thus, if you unpack it in your home directory, the firefox path will be: $HOME/firefox/firefox. If you are root and you want to put it at disposal of each user, unpack it otherwhere: e.g. /usr/local/firefox Cheers Giorgio

    Installing Firefox

You only need to type from the command line tar xzvf <firefox>.tar.gz This create a directory called firefox. Go into the directory and simply launch the executable called firefox. That's all. Giorgio

    kde 3.2 rpms for mandrake

All the kde 3.2 rpms for mandrake 9.2 are at disposal at this FTP address: ftp://mandrake.contactel.cz/people/bluehawk/kde32-92/ It's very difficult to compile kde 3.2. Konstruct returns me ununderstandable recursive compilation errors for kdelibs, and manual compilation fails too, though the configure scripts do not declare amy trouble. On the contrary, the RPMS at the above address are perfect. Giorgio
