is it true that winex cannot work with redhat?

can anybody tell me what is bittorrent and how to use it? I intend to download FC2 as well but its a bit too large.

Actually what's the difference between all thses live cd distros from the original full HDD installs? Never tried one of these cds before.

Whenever i try to install Mplayer, a whole long list of dependencies come out. Is there like a command that can automatically download all these files and install them form terminal. I tot i read abt it somewhere.

I'm using red hat 9 now and whenever i use either mozilla , firefox or galeon for some time, it will hang. But when i use konquerer or opera, it doesnt hang. I was thinking that maybe its the GECKO problem with my installation. Anybody got this prob before?

I just installed the nvidia drivers for my red hat 9 installation and now i cant boot it up anymore. There will be alot of error messages appearing on my screen and i cant even boot into console mode. Somebody help me!

I'm using red hat 9.0. And i tink the problem is more serious cos instead of all the green OKs that appears on my screen when it boots up, alot of FAILED appears. The system will hang when its a the "system logger" part.

I tried to install java vm to use lime wire but after i installed, lime wire still insisted that i didnt install.

I just downloaded UT 2004 demo and installed it but i m unable to play as the moment the splash screen comes up, 3 secs later it will close. Any body noe how to solve the prob?

When i install apps in wine, i just use the default C:// directory to install these stuff. Where is C: actually placed in the filesystem?

Many times when i download an rpm from freshrpms.net or rpmfind.net like firefox and mplayer, the installation window comes up for a few seconds and then it disppears. How can i fix it?

I just installed wine and i acn access the built-in notepad. How do i install windows programs using wine. Like quicktime.

When i enter mount/dev/sda1/mnt/usbstick i get "no such directory"

I tried out what the how-to said but wehni tried to mount my usb-drive, and error msg appears telling me that there r too many mounted filesystems or somthing liddat.

I'm using english as my default language now but i need to access chinese websites so how do i enable my nux to recognize chinese?

I think that if one has to use Windows it would have to be either win 98SE or Win 2k. Win XP really sucks man.

I agree with the going back to XP to play games part. Although i managed to use wine and winex to play games. Its just not worth the trouble and u shld just use a windows OS to do so.

I'm a noob to nux and i dun really think i m able to install the drivers. Any rpms seen yet?

I have a motherboard with an AGP 4X slot and i'm interested in buying a new graphics card but i see that all of the latest cards are all AGP 8X. I would like to know if an 8x card can be used with my 4x motherboard. Could some1 enlighten me on this.
