I realize it's been awhile since anyone has added to this thread, but I also just got a Desknote A980 and I have the exact same problem with installing XP. I've tried to do what it outlined here, but I can't seem to get it to work. Specifically, I can't get ahold of a txtsetup.oem file to go along with the drivers. If anyone's figured this one out and gotten XP on this thing, I would appreciate hearing about it.
