When you say you "did the same thing for WH40k.exe" you mean you made a shortcut to the .exe in the "c:\chaos" directory and ran it in Win95 compatibility, right? When I do that, I get the exact same error.

Uhm, other than installing new drivers and not being able to play other games, what solution could there be? I'm unwilling to actually change my entire graphics system to play one game. Thanks for helping though

Anyone who got this to work with Win2k (especially if you have a radeon card) please tell me exactly how you did it. Cheers

I never get the video to run at all. What exactly do you mean by "Run chaos through the start menu"? Do you mean go start, programmes, then run the exe? When i do that I get the usual black screen then desktop.

I tried that, and I get exactly the same error. It seems to be a graphics error or some type - I suspect DirectX 9 not liking it.

I tried doing the last fix shown here on a Win2000 computer, and I still get the black screen for a second, and then desktop. Is there a different method that works for Windows 2000?
