Some crackhead stole my friends Yahoo ID. I know it's not a big deal, He didn't have any sensitive information in it, but one thing that gets him is that SOMEONE has access to his e-mails, and some of them were personal. Can anyone tell me how to get it back? He contacted Yahoo, and I'm not sure what answer they gave him, but they said they can't really help him. I would be really grateful if someone could help me, or tell me, how I can hack that password. If you don't belive me, E-mail me at faq_u_cops@yahoo.com and I'll get you some proof.

Will it be possible to make a monitor from old laptor screen? What I have on mind is a monitor that I can place in my car and hook up DVD player or even PS2.
-
So what can I do with that screen? I don't want to throw it away, I want to re-use it somehow if possible..

I am running Win XP SP2, on most web sites, I can save images as BMP or JPG's, but on one specific site, it will only let me save in BMP. It's not a big problem, 'cause i can simply convert into JPG, but if the images are 2,000 by 2,000 , BMP file is over 11 MB, while JPG would be few hundred KB's, and I'm waisting a lot of space saving into BMP. Can any one help me out on how to solve this problem ?

Several of the people in my address book reported that they have received E-mails from me that contain 2 attached files, one zipped (with virus) and other file that is corrupted. I did not send out any of those files my self. I have also received E-mails from other people with the same type of attachements. I have scanned my PC with Symantec AV, and nothing came up. Any one knows what is going on? Please help me out...

I have WD 120GB external HD. It can work on USB 1 and 2, I'm running Win XP SP1 and I have USB 1. The HD worked fine (except for the slow transfer rate ) but lately I have a problem writing to the HD. It reads fine, but when it comes to writing large files, it stops and IO ERROR message comes up. Any ideas on what's the problem or how to fix it ?

There is nothing in Add/Remove with Media player, I uninstalled everything (wmp) but it still says that newer version is already installed when I try installing 9.0. Can't uninstall it, pointless to reinstall it, and can't put version 9 back on.. :x any other ideas ? [Edited by bushrat on 2004-09-14 22:42:41]

WMP 10 will not work on my PC. Version 9 was working just fine, and when I upgraded to 10, all I get is "Internal application error has occured". I tried reinstalling, nothing. I tried uninstalling and istalling ver. 9, and it says that newer versio is already instaled. Any one has any sugestions what to do?

I have found that my computer has a lot of open ports. In command prompt I typed in "netstat -a" and a crap load of ports are open. Is that normal or is there programs that are running and keeping those ports open. I need someone tell me how to close them or keep an eye on them on what's going on on my PC.
-
It didn't help, no ports were closed.. The software didn't close anything...

I found the answer! (or at least it works for now...) The pop-up come up saying "you might be infected by spyware........." I downloaded BHODeamon it showed this: {F51CCAF2-C6EB-4C4A-BB92-C5F4F1904166} C:\WINDOWS\System32\jbafagd.dll What I did, was go to registry (regedit if someone does not know) and deleted all entrys containing "jbafagd.dll" and "{F51CCAF2-C6EB-4C4A-BB92-C5F4F1904166}" and also deleted the file. The problem was solved. If you decide to do it, DO IT AT YOUR OWN RISK.
