  1. I'm trying to install JumpStart Languages (not XP compatible) on my Windows XP home edition PC by using the windows compatibility functions included with XP. I have been able to find the .exe file on the CDROM and flag it to be run in win 98 compatibility mode, but when I try to install the software, it still crashes (is not responding). Any suggestions? Alternately, I've been searching through the Microsoft documentation on compatibility issues and I keep finding references to a Qfixapp application which sounds like it would work, only one can no longer download this from Microsoft (no explanation given, just not there anymore and not included with the 3.0 version of their Application Compatibility stuff). Anyone know where I could get this? Also, I need a permanent solution for educational software (most of which will NOT run on XP). Does anyone know if Virtual PC will run on a Windows XP Home edition pc or does it only work on Windows XP professional (yes, I know this is $125+ software, but if it would work, I would buy it).
