Hi, I've just had a similar problem. It appears thta SP4 replaces any 3rd part SCSI drivers. What I did to resolve this was to boot from the Win 2k Install CD and go into the recovery console. There I listed the services (listsrv) and then removed the umaxdrv.sys and umax????.sys services I then rebooted and the machine came up. I will now have to find new drivers for my scanner. However, if you asked the SP upgrade to save files then you may still have the driver on your machine. Hope this helps. Cheers, Bret
