I just added a 100gb 7200rpm mdt w/ 8mb cache to my system as a storage drive. I am running win server 2003. The bios detects my drive and windows added it as new hardware. But I cannot get to the drive through my computer. My guess is that i probably have to format it or something of that nature. But im not really sure. Help needed. Thanks

I know how to enable sound in server 03 and i have already done it. But i have 4 speakers and a sub. Hooked up through a soundblaster live plat. 5.1. I can only get the audio to go through the sub and 2 speakers. i had this prob in xp but i fixed it by going to sound and audio devices through the control panel and selecting quadrophonic speakers. that does not work in this case. everything is plugged in and i have made sure the volume is up on every input. thanks.

Problems loading sims 2 on windows server 2003
toe2003@yahoo.com replied to toe2003@yahoo.com's topic in Hardware
Thanks for the help but i just figured out how to fix it. I had to configure directx through dxdiag. Yeah i know it is not a gaming os. I don't really play that many games. I just love the stability of the server series. -
I recently installed server 2003 on my home pc. I know with server a lot of the hardware is not accelerated to it's full potential. I have a geforce4 mx 440 128mb graphics card. When i go to play the sims 2. i get this message failed to find any directx 9.0c compatible graphics adapters in this system! please make sure you have directx 9.0c compatible graphics adapter and have installed the latest drivers provided by the manufacturer. the app will now terminate. Now I am pretty sure my graphics card is directx 9.0c compatible. I am just wondering if there are some options i need to enable. Suggestions would be greatly appreciated. thanks
