Hey everyone, I have one more question. I have just purchased a windows media PC with the ability of recording TV shows. Now, out of curiousity, is there a possible wireless setup that would enable me to view the prerecorded shows in a different room? In other words, without the use of wires, is there some kind of imitated gateway or router sort of thing that'll 'transfer' the prerecorded show which originates from my computer in one room to another computer ( or simply a television ) in another room? If there is no such thing, is there an alternate way to view the show (on a television) in the other room with wires (preferably without the use of a xbox 360)?

hey eveybody, i have a problem with file sharing. i want to know how to share files between my laptop and my desktop. my desktop is connected to my laptop with a wireless network. i can also connect it with a ethernet cable. so i just want to know how to share files. i made a network place call \\mycomputer\c\networkplace on my laptop. now i want my desktop to see this "networkplace" folder so i transfer files from my laptop to my desktop. my desktop can't see the folder for some reason. help! and does anyone know how to share printers?

Hey everyone, i have a sucky graphic card that originally come with my compaq presario 2100 notebook. But i want to upgrade my notebook with a better one. Can i use something like geforce 4? does it even fit in a notebook graphic card slot? if it doesn't what are some good notebook graphic cards and how do i find out what kind of graphic card i have? i know that my card sucks because when i play games like nba live, the graphic sucks compare to everyone else and its slow. thx

my dsl keeps disconnecting every 30 mins. im on a laptop and the error message comes up saying "windows - system error there is an ip address conflict with another systme on the network." im useing a adaptor btw, thx for you help, my internet keeps connecting and disconnecting, i wonder if it has to do with the message and how can i fix it?

well i have some vcds from some video rental store and when i try playing them they just won't run because they don't have auto play. so everytime i try insterting the vcd a window with all the folders on the vcd pops up. you know the CDI EXT VCD SEGMENT and MPEGV folders with data pops up. so i was wondering if somehow i can play the vcd on my laptop. the vcds run fine on my dvd/vcd player btw and the asian ppl are no help! what can i do? play the data in EXT folder with windvd? help i really wanna watch those vcd! thx

hi i just switched to a router and every like 5-10 mins cs 1.6 would just show this red letter message in the top right hand side. it says failed to transfer cl_flushingpacket??? and when i switch to my modem, it always work. does anyone know the solution? i heard that there was something to do with ports or channels....help plz!

well i was in a rush and i didn't think clear. i was trying to fix my dsl connection, but i turn off my dhcp or dns, i forgot which one but prob the one the assign ip addresses. now i dunno how to turn it back up.....is there a solution to this? where do i go? is it in my router or in my laptop? i yea i turned the router's dhcp off...

uh another problem, every like 5 mins i get disconnected, then like 5 mins later it reconnects to my home lan. does any1 no what is wrong? and what is a dsn?

ive got a reallllly big problem with my antivirus software. first i got panda platium which works fine for 3 days, but after those days it won't update! it says encountered a internal error?????? then i tryed mcafee virusscan 8, i tryed to update that too and it says not connected to the internet, when i was connected to the internet. can any1 tell me what the problem is? should i format my comp?
