I had a problem with Cold Shadow. I spent two months out of my time to fix this stupid problem. But I still connot still figure out a solution for this problem... What I thought about is putting a second hard drive on my computer then install Windows 95. SPECS Celeron 2.40 GHZ Processor 256 MB RAM Windows XP Service Pack 2 The error I get in Cold Shadow when I start it is Unable to link to KERNEL32.DLL!! The application failed to intialize (0xc0000142). Click on OK to terminate the application. The reason for planning to install Windows 95 is because with newer operating systems, the Cold Shadow game will not work properly. Is this possible?

I need help on getting DESCENT to work. I donloaded the Opengl version of Descent at PlanetDescent.com, and The port does not work, because I get this error when I try to run it: "Not enough strings in text file - expecting 621, found 514." How do I fix this problem?

Problem here is there is no .tex file anywhere in the directory, there are .txt files, but not .tex I deleted the 3 .txt files that came with thw shareware version, and I still get the same error! Is there anything else I can try?

Let me tell you one thing. NES emulators and any other game console emulators is ILLEGAL! Although, you can buy a NES and a game at www.gamestop.com or www.rocketdeals.com. I will recommend deleting the emulator from your hard drive, and try my suggestions. Besides, game console emulators might have a virus, or data that can damage your PC. I'm not trying to make you upset, or anything, this is just a caution.

When I load a save game file on Quake 2, I get this really annoying error: ERROR: GAMEERROR: READLEVEL: The function pointers have moved. Specs Celeron class 2.40 GHZ 256 MB RAM Windows XP Service Pack 2 DirectX 9.0c Quake 2 version 3.20 The previous operating system I ran this game on is Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4. The save games loaded fine on Windows 2000 Professional Service Pack 4. I tried Q2ace, The save games still did not load properly. I reinstalled the game about 1,000,000,000,000,000,000...................... times and the save games files still did not load sucessfully. Is there any solution to this problem?

OH MY GOD! Looks like I got a car accident. While I was playing Quake 2 Evolved, I got a crash saying "Windows had to shutdown to prevent damage to your system." And there is alot more detail in this report. Oh s***! Unfortunately, I don't have a AGP slot. EVEN WORSE, the graphics card I have is integrated (meaning it is built-in.) I looked in my Dell Dimension 2400 Owner's Manual at page 59 and the section of this page is: System Board Componments. And there are 3 PCI slots, no AGP slots according to the manual. Is there any graphics cards available that are for PCI slots and it is compatible for Sims 2?

Besides, how do I replace the Intel Extreme Graphics card with a different card? Do I just insert the GEforce card (when I get one...) to a PCI slot or do I have to undo screws inside the PC to do this?

I have a Dell Dimension 2400 running on Windows XP. I also tried compatitbilly mode, It still does not work! ;( When I ran the game on the very old Windows 95 Machine, It worked fine. But I don't have the very old Windows 95 Machine anymore! Is there any way to work this game? I have the kernel32.dll file on system32 directory of Windows XP. Why is it unable to link to it if the file is already on the system? Man, this is crazy!
