If you did a clean install it should be ok. Check that all driver are up to date. If you just did an up date to XP goto EA and get the The Sims Eraser http://thesims.ea.com/us/index.html?menu=getcool&content=getcool/ also check out SimsGoddest yahoo e-group Gail
