It might well be worth your while thinking outside the square and trying another software package like Vue-Scan or Silverfast.

Epson are notorious for this, I have a StylusPro 9600 printer, which cost $10,000.00 in Australia 2 years ago. And Epson Australia tell me that they will not be providing drivers for Vista.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah Perfect Disk is the best of all the dafrag tools that I have tried. And the best of the season to you.

Why are you afraid to use Raxco Perfect Disk, I have been using it for 5 years on all 3 of my PCs with no problems whatsoever. I have tried Diskeeper, which is what the included defragger with windows is based on, but have not found it anywhere near as good as Perfect Disk. Give it a try.

Your defrag problem can easily be sorted out by running it while your computer is running in 'Safe Mode'. Or much better than that, download a trial copy of "Raxco Perfect Disk" from; http://www.raxco.com/ As more your monitor, if it is out of warranty you'd probably be better to forget it and buy a new one. The newer L.C.D.s are getting a lot better image quality and quite a bit cheaper now.

What a lot of BS, haven't you guys ever heard of or used Matrox Graphics cards. There's a lot more around than just ATI or NVidia cards, and I would not use either of them, I'd much prefer a Matrox Parhelia.

I've just upgraded from an AM2 5000 to an AM2 5400 and when I restarted my PC windows XP Pro SP2 would not boot properly, without pressing F2. And then it still meant I had to do a complete re-install to get Windows to run properly. Other than that the change-over was very simple, although it would pay to upgrade your mobos bios to the latest one.

I've had similar problems too. I removed the card and cleaned all the contacts with methylated spirits, when it was replaced, it worked better than ever, so try that as well.
