You can find the driver for Windows XP on THIS site, I think this will be more promising, I just tried downloading from driverguide and it failed. Let us know if it worked Good Luck Wicked

You can download the XP drivers here If it promts for a password use the following Username: drivers Password: all I'll say something about the site that changed, but dont worry about creating a new account, click on "carry on to this site" or something like that and follow the instructions. Make sure to install the WinTV-PVR-pci drivers for XP, NOT the WinTV-pci drivers. Install w2kdrv311.exe, then pvrpcidrv15_19300.exe. Please let us know if this worked CIAO Wicked

I'm never drinking again We had a couple of beers and a whole lot of fun, and when the beer finished we had a couple of bottles of wine and about 6 bottels of champers (not good for your head the next morning). Well, anyway, we had a lot of fun but today I'm paying for it, in a bad way.

When I quit smoking I stopped on a Monday night and went out to get pissed, I know if I could last the first day without smoking while drinking I could stop, and I did. The nice thing is that I never craved for a smoke, only if I saw someone smoke at a distance and I cant smell it, but, somewhere in month 3 of me quitting I dreamt twice that I was smoking and I woke up with that smoke taste in my mouth and I was so cross at myself you wont believe. After quitting you smell someones breath that smokes and then you cant believe how much they stink and how much you stank as well. My new years, well, I wish I was home, cause I'm so far away from any friends or family, and here I only have one friend so far and he's got plans already somewhere far away. So, I'll be sitting at home with the in-laws which could become a bit sticky cause there is some friction in the house with the whole family here. So, I'm spending some quality time in my room with PC spares all over the show and getting "tipsy". And, I just realized, I can build a complete PC with what I have here, and that is what I'm busy with now keeps me sane.

I just downloaded a couple of clipc from Tom's Hardware (My FAV site) and watched them, but one was pretty interesting. Oh yes, I forgot to mention, normally my Processor would run constantly at 60°C, just in normal windows and a only gets warmer when playing games (I always play all games at full graphics). Now, with this simple basic water-cooling My PC runs at 50°C and 52°C when I play games. I can still get it cooler but right now I'm too lazy to do it, I'm still recovering from yesterday.

If its downloaded as you say we cant help you, we don't deal with or encourage piracy, and that is probably your problem with the game, buy it and try it.

I know, people dont read the previous threads and posts the same problems over and over again. It would be nice if they could get some rude phrase, only problem is that we dont want to chase anyone away from this site, its a goldmine, so, wont it be possible if they enter SIMS 2 that their thread will not be posted but instead he gets an error message and a link to redirect him to EA or Maxis, that site dosfreak found.

Yes, Avatars makes it a bit more fun. You can add a couple of avatars that people can choose from and if they have their own that they would like to use they have to mail it to some email addy and if approved it will be added for the user.

A friend of mine in Cape Town has this game and does not know how to save, does anyone else have this game that could help us please. I dont have the game so I cant help, and he lives a bit far from here, cant go there either Thanks

I read on the net somewhere that with SH4 you can save at any point in the game, but I dont have it so I wont know for sure.

Firstly, is the PC and Laptop connected together via LAN or something? NO - Do so, then advance to YES YES - make sure they can see each other using ping. 1.1Click START -> RUN -> type in CMD and click OK. 1.2You should see a black box, type in IPCONFIG and press ENTER. 1.3Write down the IP ADDRESS and go over to the Laptop 1.4Repeat step 1.1 1.5Type in PING <IP ADDRESS> and press ENTER. eg. ping 172.168.0.15 If you get a reply it should work, but you'll have to share the printer and make sure you are logged on with an account that has Admin rights. Sharing of Printers (on the PC with the printer) 2.1Click START -> PRINTERS AND FAXES. 2.2In the new box RIGHT CLICK on your printer and click SHARING. 2.3Click on SHARE THIS PRINTER and give it an easy name, eg. MYPRINT. 2.4Click on APPLY and then OK. Now the printer is shared. Connecting to the printer (on the Laptop) 3.1Repeat step 2.1 3.2Click on ADD PRINTER. 3.3Click NEXT -> select A NETWORK PRINTER, OR PRINTER ATTACHED TO ANOTHER COMPUTER. 3.4Click NEXT and select CONNECT TO THIS PRINTER 3.5Type in \\<IP ADDRESS>\<NAME OF SHARED PRINTER> and click NEXT eg. \\192.168.0.15\MYPRINT 3.6It should find the printer and do most of the setup suff for you, then you just click FINISH and start printing.

I noticed, I was offline the whole day and when I came online there was 27 new topics and out of that is 12 SIMS 2 posts, flood some call it, EISH, its more like the end of the world.

Thanks for the reply Hee hee, he does not know how to save, once he learns how to save we'll see if he gets an error or not. Can you save anywhere in the game at any time in the game, unless he has to use the book in the corner you were talking about, which means he has to be hame or wherever that is. Thanks Wicked

My processor's temp runs at 60°C/140°F in normal conditions, and its not even over clocked. But that is with the original fan that came with the processor, on the box of the prescott it says you should not use any other fan, but I tried the ZubZero and my PC would overheat and shut down as soon as I'm in windows
