i also forgot to say my win version is windows ME

hi im having a problem running avp gold, when i start it all it does is show a black screen, so i changed the screen area to 640x480 so then it worked but when i tryed to start a mission it said that my videocard didnt have enough memmory. my vid card is a geforce4 mx 440, 64 mb. and the requirement is 16mb. can somebody help me? thanks
