I need help with Interstate 76 Gold Edition

Hi, I had the same problem as d_crome. I was able to get into the menu but when I tried to start the actual game it asked for disc 2 and wouldn't find it. The game didn't really freeze. I still could click cancel to get back to the menu. But clicking OK didn't do anything. So here's the solution that worked for me: I changed the drive letter of my DVD-ROM drive. There was a gap between the last hard-disk and the DVD-ROM drive letter. Actually the letter between the two drives was used by Alcohol 120% to emulate a CD/DVD drive. I removed the emulated drive and changed the letter of my real DVD-ROM to this letter and now I'76 finds the Play CD and I can play. By the way, I'm playing the Gold Edition from the Arsenal pack in software rendering mode, I didn't have to tune down audio acceleration and I didn't use any compatibilty mode. Changing the drive letter to the first letter after the last hard disk was all I had to do. I'm using XP Professional with SP2 on an Athlon64. My sound card is a Creative Labs Audigy Player and my graphics chip a Radeon 9700. I should mention that the game showed a few minor graphical glitches and did crash after a couple of minutes in the mission "Mondo Burger". The glitches didn't really bother me. I'll have to play more to see if the crash was just a random crash or if it's a recurring problem. Perhaps I'll have to shut off audio accelleration or use compatibility mode eventually. Anyway, I'm really happy the game works at all. At first I didn't even expect it to install properly. cheers Ralf "Hey Stampede, how 'bout a poem?"
