    Sporadic Shut-downs

Hey all. I'm having a mite of a problem with my computer...it appears that every time I try to burn something, it decides to restart. This happens when I use both my cd burner and my dvd burner (I bought my dvd burner after the problem started occuring). The event viewer just gave me a system error when the problem occured with the cd burner. It gave me the same thing with the dvd burner, but after that it gave me 28 warning messages saying "An error was detected on device \Device\CdRom1 during a paging operation" spaced out over about 4 minutes. I have a few theories about this. First of all, my cpu fan went out a while ago. I got it replaced by the only computer guy in our town who, quite frankly, I really don't trust. When I got it back the power supply was blown. I'm not sure if the fan caused that (can it even cause that?), but either way, I had to get him to replace the power supply. He put in a 250W one, which I'm pretty sure is rated high enough. I'm just running the two CD drives off of it. I have an All-In-Wonder Radeon 7500, and as far as I know that doesn't take more power than a regular video card. My temperatures don't seem to be very bad, either; the CPU's 45C and the system temp is 37C. Could I have a bad power supply or something? How would I check that out? The only thing that makes me sceptical about this is that, if my memory serves me right, I had problems (although much, mush less frequently) with my computer sporadically restarting even before my fan went out that time. And, if my memory serves me right, these problems correlated with cd-rom drive usage as well. Other than that, the only thing I can really think of is the physical connections. I checked, and all of the cords are hooked up properly. Is there a chance one of the cords or belts is phyically damaged? I've looked over them, and they look to be in tip-top shape. I'm also a bit concerned about the audio cable...there's only one hook-up for the two cd-rom drives. I had a regular cd-rom hooked up before I put my dvd burner in, so this isn't a new problem. I actually have no clue what this cable does...could this have something to do with the problem? Well, that's about it. If anyone could give me any suggestion at all to what I could try to fix this problem, I'd be forever in their debt. Thanks
