when i put in the kings quest cd, it says that it cant load the bitmap or something like that, what the hell does an installation have to do with a bitmap???? heeelllppp

it may just be that its not xp compatible, i belive KQ8 was released before xp pro? i'll probably give it a go on my dads computer yeah, it just says it cant read from it edit: just noticed that the section this thread in is actually just for nt & 2000 and such games, just so you know, i have xp.

i havent had any other cd reading problems with the drive before. and im still abit puzzled as to why it says cant read bitmap... :S edit: also, when i try to copy the contense it can only copy 3 of the files: autorun 1kb cfg? data.tag 1kb tag file setup 1kb cfg?

there is another computer in the house, but thats me dads, and hes a work right now so i cant ask him i can install it on his computer, if he wont let me i'll ask to temorarily swap over the drives or something like that, he'll probably let me do that.
