Hey guys Another newbie here....tried again to install sp2 and still had problems with computer hanging when my desktop wallpaper would show but no icons. In my search for the problem, I found that I could get to my Task Manager. I stumbled upon a way to get my icons back. What I did was ended my explorer.exe session and then turned back around and loaded it again. Everything seemed to work, keyword being seemed, but decided to uninstall SP2. I figured thought one problem would eventually trickle down to even more problems. Hopefully maybe one of you more knowledgable guys can take this little bit of info and figure out where Microsoft went wrong in there "Overly anticipated and overly advertised" SP2. BoyNxDr
