I got a problem with my server. It rebooted for some reason an I found it stuck at the Fastbuild utility for the on-board raid.
It said that one o fthe disks is unplugged or failed. I checked the connections, rebooted up to windows (on the other disk) and windows proceeded to install the other HD as a new HD.
So I know the HD is working and there is no more raid array. It is shown as another duplicate basic disk in the OS.
However, when I reboot again, the raid controller utility thinks it is still bad (or not there) and the BIOS doesn't see it.
Could it bee that the raid controller it is on is toast?
Perhaps I should mirror it in Server2000 and not worry about it.
Any thoughts?
Cheers
