hmm.. let me take a look.

right.. sorry about this. i moved it to buy, sell and trade.. almost 2 am here and im getting clumsy..

halo 2.. bad graphics.. bad physics.. half life is opposite. well.. you think your good, but if you playd halo 2 agains a equally skilled person who used mouse and keyboard you would have lost.. and yeah.. halo2 on console got some "aid" helping you shoot.. as every fps in the console world. well. i get the feeling you havent played half life 2.

first.. you tried looking at the troubleshoot and faq on their homepage? hehe.. thats usually big help. then again. maybe not.. have you direct x 9c and the latest nvidia drivers? plus download all the patches there are out. best regards ES

felix is 100% right about that. im in the army and i know that the vibration on xbox is more like holding the tail of a mouse.. (if the mouse is still alive). but the thing is that you got more aim with a mouse than with consoles.. there is a reason why counter - strike is on pc.. i dont hate consoles, but lets just say that youll get more from your money if you buy Half-life 2. half life 2 is out, and have been for some weeks now (in europe around 2 i think). and there are lots of lots of mods and addons for half-life 2. which make the online experience more exciting than ever. yes i know that only source is bundled, but then again.. isnt there already a hl2 dm mod out? you get my point? that is why i love the pc. its freedom. give or take.. i know you can mod your xbox, but then its just like a pc.. the only thing you lack is a keyboard and a mouse..

yeah.. they keep making new fans which are more silent that the old ones.. which is a good thing. but watercooling is still the best option.. can argue with that. and yes.. i know there are downsides with that too.. and aye.. i know what they are. little downsides in my book anyway which is why i not run watercooling in my pc.. the hard-drive watercooling bays are greate to . now my hds are real cool. and that makes the work faster and dont get busted to fast.. one of computers worst enemies are temperature... keep it cool guys ES

well.. the amount of ram on a graphic card only tells how many pixels you can have on the screen on the same time.. so lets just say a 128 works fine.. if you dont wanna turn all your settings to max and then run doom/hl2 in 1600x1200.. then it would be better with a card just as fast but with 256 ram.. and lets not forget that agp is now not the fastest choice anymore.. PCIe is here to stay. this generation of graphic cards are the last generation of GFX cards made for AGP. so all the manufacturers say. because PCIe is faster and will be there for the next few years. thank god they changed the slow 8x agp out it took too long.. just as it took to remove the ISA slot. best regards ES

do a network installation.. yes. the usb ports works in boot.. i made a boot "pen-drive" so i guess external hd's will work to. but try to do the same thing you did, but with an windows 98 then you install the windows xp on that after you have plugged it in the destined laptop. then you just choose an upgrade and copy all setup files to disk. best regards ES

well.. if we look at history and presence.. who has most online gamers? Half life 1and 2 or halo 1 and 2? there is no doubt.. many millions play hl 1 and 2.. halo cant even get past 15 percent of that.. maybe 10 on a good day. so, when we look at the worlds oppinion HL is the winner by far. and the reason halo 1 sucked on pc was because they didnt use enough time to convert the game to pc. which is because the engine is designed to run on an xbox..

this isnt an warez site. im sorry to say this but i dont want to help you.. which is of many reasons. i cant be sure that you own the other disks.. you can be making that story up. why not call their support and tell them that you miss one cd, if your lucky theyll send you one. but dont get your hopes up..

ive been thinking about this idea for a long time. we all know that game supporters use ages to respond and that ppl dont get any help in their faq. so this is what we should do. we should make an official game helping (with sims 2 as main subject), and that the great admins and creators of NTcompatible should get a fee to have us/them support other people in their game. this way they will make a bit more money. thats the least we could do for the ones making the worlds best forum. and to consider we are people from many nations here we could support alot of countries on their own language. heh. wouldnt that be greate? it would made the forum better than ever with more financial power behind and maybe less ads (not that the ads bother me), i like that ads pay for such a greate forum best regards ES

yeah.. my pc is also butt loud.. i remember when i was running a local fileserver on LAN parties me and some friends arranged once a month (there were around 200 to 300 ppl there each time), and i had to use 80x80 delta fans to cool the HDs down.. it was making nois as an hercules airplane.. lol but now, i have watercooling and i am very pleased with it.. the case is also metal so plugged some heatpipes to the tower, (it works if you dont have to open your case like once every day hehe.. then its work. well. good luck on your project. im going back to base in like 3 days time and this is what i do when im home.. stare at the screen and party.. lol. what a life best regards ES

that was good ideas. i have also though about making a vent system to outside.. which would work fine. but what about when i rains then get hot and the water goes to steam (or something). dont the moisture damage the hardware?

and yeah.. you should see if if the laptop is hardware compatible with windows xp.. try installing windows 98 or some such.. best regards ES

uhm.. well. reading that made me remember the time i had been awake to long. and i had to install windows xp on a computer, but i was going to upgrade some parts there.. including the motherboard. then i installed windows before i changed the parts.. but that was before i remember how stupid i have been.. you cant install windows on a entire other pc, because the main parts isnt the same.. motherboards are a bitch.. you cant use the same drivers and you cant reinstall just the drivers.. so you end up to have to install windows on a clean install.. which is annoying since i update one or more pcs each year.. but but.. one gotta do what.. tf was the rest again? lol. what you could do is to connect an external cd drive to it if you have and usb plug.. otherwise try an network installation. best regards ES

some of these fanless PSU's are actually just a heatsink yes.. and what they mostly are made to do, is to transfer all the heat from the psu to the chassis. which ofcourse is a good idea IF you have a metal case of some sorts.. there are a certain pc tower (i cant rememeber the name), but it is build as a huge heatsink. and you plug heat-leading pipes to all you hot pc components and directly into the chassis.. its the most expensive pc tower in the world im sure, but after what i read i worked very well and silent.. i would maybe recommend that PSU if you run a water cooled system and then can attach some heat leading pipes on it.. it would kill quite a few decibels.. a totally silent system without any nois is a dream pc a tad epensive maybe. and ofcourse you would have need to buy real silent HDs too hehe best regards ES

half life 2.. because of the greate mod oppertunities and i like cs source.. there are coming cool mods to hl2 as we speak and they include all the original DM from HL 1 . i like that alot. half life 2 has alot, and i mean ALOT better graphics.. IMO at least.. and yeah.. i HATE, and now i seriously mean HATE , fps and third person games on consoles.. specially fps games.. need a mouse and keyboard.. anyone know when the launch of halo 2 pc version is out? thats strange... :S why purge the entire system? maybe there is a BIOS flash that fixes the problem? you should be able to force the two of them to use two different.. you tried setting the vid card to 15? i always configure my IRQ settings manually and (if im not mistaken) 15 is the VID acceration IRQ. im not sure about this however, but it works for me. i found a guide to this problem for you, so i dont redender you completely in the dark. http://www.webtechgeek.com/How-to-Resolve-IRQ-Conflict.htm there, go a bit down on that page.. tell me if im wrong. but wasnt there a free patch/upgrade for windows Xp to add a 64 bit layer on top of the 32 bit? where did that one go? anyone have a link? i saw on the microsoft page, and there i only found a way to BUY it or download a trial. but that seemed to be a whole new OS setup. since it took a whole lot of space.. :S yours sincerly ES

hi. try changing graphic settings. such as quality of textures up and down, and see if you still have the same problem.. what graphic card you got?
