HI guys, Trying to get a dual boot pc going again. Win98 and winnt os. On starting the message "Boot:cannot find ntldr" appears. I can't go any further. Tried booting with WinNT CD and went into Repapir installation and says no previous installation of NT present. I removed hard disk and used it as a slave in another computer. There is a c:\winnt directory but no winnt.exe anywhere. Ntldr is also present in c:\ . Just can't get past the initial message of not finding ntldr. Tried making a boot disk but to no avail. Any help or tips greatly appreciated. Leeser

Thanks for your reply, but I think I didn't ask the right question! The computer in question already has both OS installed and on trying to reboot I get the "cannot find ntldr" error message. I have tried another diagnostic and it says hal.dll is missing from Windows root\system\ please install. I'd love to but I can't access the harddrive at all. Cheers leeser
