When I try to add additional domain controller for existing domain I found that when I try to enter the Full DNS name for existing domain this error message was appeared “The domain pdo.pirmam.com could not be contacted select a different domain (if domain was recently created its name may not yet registered with the domain name service” Please can you help me?

have a server, win2000 server installed on it. I want to exchange this computer with another new computer. My question is how I can transfer the data to the new server as well as the Active directory structure. I tried several times but I failed. Please your advice is highly appreciated
