hi. ok i recently got new everything..2 desktops...1 laptop...1 wireless router. now ive done this plenty of times and never had a problem. this time however i went to create a LAN game and the computers couldnt see each other. one would host the other couldnt see it. now everything else works, internet, file sharing, everything except this. i beleive the laptop works however because it was already done when i got it.. but cant test it because other computer dont work and it does this for every single game. unreal 2004 battlefield warcraft 3...etc. everquest 2 works tho..its only games on the lan. ive called the router company and the guy was a idiot, only thing we tried i hadnt done before was dmz which didnt work. i think its the copys of win xp pro..i got them from work and there by dell.. computers are service pack 2..windows xp pro..the two desktops are wired straight into the router and the laptop it wireless. if anyone can help me please post.. sonicbit8

its the woodworkers magazine forum part of that website. and i cant pay any bills online anymore... except with my laptop. its wierd since i started posting it seems to be getting worse ... slower connection and loss of speed in bursts. im going to call the cable company to see if they can at lease help a little how would i allow the websites through the software firewall. the only firewall i have is service pack 2 thanks for helping me SonicBit8

i have router default ok when i changed the privacy setting in internet explorer to except all cookies, it goes to a Page cannot be displayed page before it just timedout thanks for helping me SonicBit8

hehe thats the browser i use i feel stupid but where do i find nat on the router. i dont see anything called nat. thanks for heping me SonicBit8

im my two computers i use windows xp professional. its a dell copy i got from my work my laptop uses windows xp home edition thanks for helping SonicBit8

i have netbios on my computers for filesharing and my laptop doesnt thats the only thing i see thanks for helping SonicBit8
