First put the RA CD on first CD/DVD drive. 1) On RA CD, there are folder named SETUP and there are dos version of the installer, install.exe. Launch it. 2) It'll start and then ask for sound card, I selected none. 3) Then it asks where to install. C:\WESTWOOD\RA 4) Files copied.... 5) After install go to where you installed it. 6) Download 1.08 patch. http://www.sharoma.com/ral/files/ra108usp.exe. Copy the file to RA folder, doubleclick it. Then use extracted PATCH.EXE to patch it. 7) Copy the patch file ("ra108usp.exe") to your RA folder ("c:\westwood\redalert"). 8) Doubleclick the patch file to start file extracting. 9) Now, on the folder there should be file named "patch.exe". Doubleclick it. 10) Wait while it patches RA. Dos screen will appear for while. Let it finish. 11) Now you have patched the game, create shortcut for file named "RA95.exe". Rightclick the shortcut and select Properties. Click Compatiblity tab. Apply following compatiblity settings to shortcut: Windows 95, 256 colors, 640x480, Disable themes and turn off advanced text services. 12) Done, launch the game by using this shortcut.

Star Wreck: In the Pirkinning. Quote: "An epic film about the emperor of the world in the far reaches of the galaxy." The first Finnish full-length scifi parody is made from astounding special effects, action and loads of dark humour. It is the product of a core group of five Finns and many people who've helped us during the seven years it has been in the making. You can download the entire movie by clicking here. For free, of course.

Googled? http://www.google.fi/search?hl=fi&q=...G=Hae&meta= Quote: http://www.cheatheaven.co.uk/pc-cheats-2/panzergeneral3.htm Editing Scorch.cfg The file Scorch.cfg in your Panzer General 3 directory can be edited in many ways. To edit your starting money, look for the line that says, Initial_Cash=xxxxx (xxxxx could be any number). Edit the xxxxx part to as much money you want to start with. Save it then start a new game and you will start with that much money. There are also other values you can edit in scorch.cfg, play around with it to find other useful things to edit.

Before using expand command, try typing set AllowAllPaths = true (case-sensitive) in recovery console. Have you tried checking hard drive for errors in recovery console using chkdsk /r command?

Before you buy new one, try this: 1) Open registry editor, regedit.exe. 2) Doubleclick HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE, then SYSTEM, CurrentControlSet, Enum and finally PCI. You'll be now on "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\PCI" path. 3) You will see a number of keys of the form "VEN_xxxx", where xxxx are strings like "VEN_105A&DEV_0D30&SUBSYS_4D33105A&REV_02" Under each of these folders will be another folder with a long numerical name, like "4&16b3c044&0&48F0". 4) Open each folder and look for the "DeviceDesc", which matches the hardware you are trying to install. For example 'Unknown USB Joystick', 'FFB2 Joystick', etc. Picture #1. 5) Rightclick on the "VEN_xxxx" for that device and select 'Permissions' and then tick "Allow" for "Full Control". Picture #2. 6) Close Regedit and then try re-install your joystick.

What are your computer specifications? Click Start->Run. dxdiag From System tab, tell us: System Manufacturer, System Model, BIOS, Processor, Memory and DirectX Version. From Display tab, tell us: Name, Manufacturer and Approx. Total Memory. If you know how to get to BIOS, go there and look for "AGP Fast Write" or similiar and turn it off / disable. If you do not know, look from motherboard manual. Update your graphics card drivers, from manufacturer's website.

(This is for XP Pro. Home version does not have required command.) When this hogging starts, press Ctrl+Shift+Esc to start Task Manager. Goto Processes tab. Look for PID of the svchost.exe process which using most CPU time. Then File->New Task(Run...). Type cmd. Then tasklist /svc. You see list some sort of this: Quote: Image Name PID Services ========================= ... svchost.exe 616 DcomLaunch svchost.exe 664 RpcSs ... Using the PID, see which service is hogging your system. Then try disabing the service or setting it to manual via services.msc.

Quote: http://www.michna.com/kb/WxDMA.htm 1. Uninstall the secondary IDE port To do that, open Device Manager as follows. Right-click on My Computer, select Properties, click on the Hardware tag, click on the Device Manager button, click on the plus sign to the left of IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller, right-click on Secondary IDE Channel, click on Uninstall. Deactivating is not enough. Reboot to make the changes active and permanent. After booting Windows will automatically reinstall the IDE channel and the DVD (or CD) drive. This Plug-n-Play process can take a little while, so give it a minute after the boot process finishes. 2. Reactivate DMA But this is not enough, because unfortunately Windows does not automatically activate DMA on a DVD or CD drive. You have to tell Windows to try to use DMA first. For that, go to Device Manager again. Right-click on My Computer, select Properties, click on the Hardware tag, click on the Device Manager button, click on the plus sign to the left of IDE ATA/ATAPI Controller, double-click on the secondary IDE channel, click on Extended Settings and change the relevant setting from PIO only to DMA when available. On Windows NT and 2000 you now have to reboot a second time, but Windows XP applies the change instantly. Then you can go to the same place in Device Manager again and check whether the device is now actually using DMA mode. If so, all is well.

1) Copy autoexec.nt and config.nt files from c:\windows\repair folder to c:\windows\system32 folder. 2) Update your antimalware programs. 3) Scan for malware. Déjà vu.
