Can you login with Administrator? Do you use the Welcome screen? Try pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del couple times to get classic (win 2000 style) login screen. Then type Your account name and password. Control Panel->User Accounts->Administrator->Remove Password or something like that.

Try this: 1) Open DHCP. 2) In the console tree, click DHCP. 3) On the Action menu, click Manage authorized servers. 4) The Manage Authorized Servers dialog box appears. 5) Click Authorize. 6) When prompted, type the name or IP address of the DHCP server to be authorized, and then click OK. Have you created any scopes before you try to authorize it?

Click Start -> Settings -> Control Panel -> Sounds and Multimedia. (Note: If all of the Control Panel icons are not displayed, select view all Control Panel options) Goto Audio tab. You should see something like this: If you do not, then you have uninstalled the sound card from Windows. Now download program called EVEREST Home Edition. Install and start it. From the left panel, doubleclick "Multimedia", then "PCI / PnP Audio". On right panel, you'll see your sound card's description. For example, if your card is made by Creative, then you goto to Creative's website and search for drivers for your card. http://us.creative.com/support/downloads/

1) Copy the patch file ("ra108usp.exe") to your RA folder ("c:\westwood\redalert"). 2) Doubleclick the patch file to start file extracting. 3) Now, on the folder there should be file named "patch.exe". Doubleclick it. 4) Wait while it patches RA. Dos screen will appear for while. Let it finish. 5) Now you have patched the game, create shortcut for file named "RA95.exe". Rightclick the shortcut and select Properties. Click Compatiblity tab. Apply following compatiblity settings to shortcut: Windows 95, 256 colors, 640x480, Disable themes and turn off advanced text services. 6) Done, launch the game by using this shortcut.

More RAM could help, though. The Sims 2 works fine on my machine; 800MHz, 512MB, GeForce FX 5200.

help with monitor please? taskbar not showing up opened program
Wilhelmus replied to currie1990's topic in Software
1. Restart the computer. 2. As soon as the BIOS loads, begin tapping the F8 key on your keyboard. Do so until the Windows Advanced Options menu appears. (If you begin tapping the F8 key too soon, some computers display a "keyboard error" or similiar message. If this happens, restart the computer and try again.) 3. Select Safe mode and then press Enter. -
Download this: 11th Hour DirectX player (beta!) http://cheatz.spieletips.de/cgi-bin/rate...file=11hwin.zip Extract files from zip to your 11th hour installation folder and try running v32win.exe. With compatiblity mode (assuming that you got XP or 2000?), create shortcut for the executable, then select properties of it. On compatiblity tab, select some operating system (2000,98,ME,95) from the box.

On driverguide.com, there are drivers for audigy 2 value. You'll need to register first, which is free. Then search for: "audigy 2 value". Look for "Audigy2ValueDrivers.rar". About 12,4 MBs.

Download the file from here: http://www.speckdrumm.org/EvilOne/d3dx9_25.dll and place it to BF installation folder, to same folder where the main executable is. Now try running the game.

Does the taskbar work in safe mode? -
Or this could mean that the file is corrupted. Try reinstalling the game. Btw, you do have the orginal game? Because this is just an expansion.

Quote: Note: now that D3DX is in a .dll you can no longer distributes apps without the DirectX runtime and expect them to work. Windows XP users who keep their machines up to date should all have DirectX 9.0c installed but not the D3DX .dll so will get errors about missing d3dx9_24.dll or d3dx9_25.dll. In affect Microsoft have released DirectX 9.0d without admitting to it! Unfortunately the end user is not automatically downloading the new dll. The only solution is to distribute the DirectX runtime with your app. however if you are providing your app. as a download this would increase its size considerably. You could of course just include the correct dll. although this is against the SDK agreement (EULA). The word from Microsoft is that they are considering ways of solving this issue. Try downloading and installing this: DirectX 9.0c Redistributable for Software Developers - Multilingual, 34.2 MB. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/detai...;displaylang=en

On the installation folder (c:\westwood\redalert) there are setup.exe application, use it to configure your sound card. The sound itself can be choppy, etc. Another solution: Download 1.08 patch. http://www.sharoma.com/ral/files/ra108usp.exe. Copy the file to RA folder, doubleclick it. Then use extracted PATCH.EXE to patch it. Now you have patched the game, create shortcut for RA95.exe. Apply following compatiblity settings to shortcut: Windows 95,256 colors,640x480,Disable themes and turn off advanced text services. Now you should have sounds.
