Do you know what motherboard you have? If you do, search for audio drivers from motherboard manufacturer's website. If you don't know what your motherboard is, download PC Wizard and use it to find out what motherboard you have.

Click Start, then Run and type dxdiag. When it is loaded, select Display tab. From there, you should be able to find out your graphics card.

If you have it installed, try Product Key Explorer. .edit Ignore that, "demo" version does not display complete keys... But found this: Retrieving your Product Key from the Registry @ Gearbox Software Forums.

When the hdd is plugged in, click Start, then Run and type diskmgmt.msc. Disk Management should open. See if it appears there and if it does, you'll need to assign drive letter to it. Right click the drive/partition, then select "Change Drive Letter and Paths" and assign it to free drive letter.

Try starting the installer in compatibility mode. Right click the setup.exe and select properties, then compatibility tab.

Have you tried installing 'latest' (released in 1997) patch? 1.10.

Have you tried running it in compatibility mode? Right-click the executable, Properties, Compatibility tab. Crash fix patches.

The latest version (10.5 Beta) of RealPlayer should work with Vista. -
From Control Panel start Network and Sharing Center. From the left pane, select Manage network connections. Then right-click your Local Area Connection, select Properties. Confirm UAC prompt. Uncheck the IPv6 and Link-Layer topologies. OK your way out.
