I have recently installed XP pro but I dont have office XP only 2K can I still use it on XP?

hmmmm, all power cables in, I can run my games in a window ok though, I dont know what rating my psu is but its an akassa which I've always trusted and used.

If im playing a full screen game for some reason every now and again my computer decides to restart, it doesnt do it when in on my desktop or surfing the web etc. I have checked my mobo and its running at 25°c and my cpu is running at 41°c so its not overheating, i have also checked the psu to mobo connector and there is a pin missing, is that supposed to be missing or not, and if not is that the cause of my restarts? hmm doesnt seem to find anything(AVG Free) but I found that when I disable folder html (side panel) it doesnt crash

kk cheers, I havnt noticed anything not working just Compatibility mode, It wont apply the changes, but then again I dont need it so I unregistered the dll associated with it.

by the way it doesnt do that when i click a html/htm file on the desktop.

Try backtracking to DX9.0b , if that doesnt work backtrack ati drivers try it with older ati drivers + DX 9.0b then with DX9.0c, it might be something to do with the card drivers (I got an ATi 9800) although it doesnt do that for me. BTW you might want to check that your card isnt corrupt/burnt or been knocked about and that all the wires are fully in(sounds stupid but many people have done it) [Edited by jimlad on 2004-12-24 11:10:38]

I have recently formatted my HDD and intsalled 2k pro updated it fully etc. but i put in my 2k pro disk to install some laungauge component and it said I had a older version of windows and it wanted me to update to 2k pro?!? I went into system and it said I was running 2000 pro on SP4, so why is my 2k disk saying that i dont have 2k installed?!?!? also could that cause some of my apps/games to pick up that im running below 2000?

Everytime i click a html/htm file i get an error (Explorer has created an error and will be shutdown by windows, please restart the application) and I have formated the drive twice and re-installed windows twice, ive tried all solutions for the same error but for exe files and none work, I'd be grateful if someone could help, Im running Windows 2000 SP4 on a NTFS drive.
