Sims 2 Problem - loading default neighborhood

fortunatly my copy of sims 2 installed perfectly but every time i load a family or a nieghbourhood it takes up 2 3mins to load i'mnot sure if there is a solution but if there is *PLZ* help -
what you should do is make sure you graphics card is up to date and fits the system requirements this shuold sort the problem
