I have been trying to download Sims2. It let me put Disk 1 in and when it came to Disk 2 it said there was a transfer problem. I borrowed Disk 2 from a friend and the same thing happened. I then went to my other computer and made an exact copy which did allow me to download without transfer problems. Can someone explain why this would happen and what I can do to fix it? Should I purchase a new cd writer for this computer. Do they make CD/DVD writers all in one? Also when I put in a game such as Zoo Tycoon 2 the CD rom is very noisy.

If I install a PCI card in my computer can I disable the old/original one in Device Manager or does it have to go through the BIOS. The old one is attached to the Motherboard. How do I go about installing a new one? Thanks

I am having problems installing Sims 2. What does this mean and how can I fix it!. I tried Disk 2 on my other computer and it works. Do I need to have a DVD player on the computer? I have not solved the file transfer problem I wrote about earlier. When I put in Disk 1 it works, after I put in Disk 2 an error code comes up: A problem has occured when tryint to transfer the file: TSData\Res\Sims3D\Objects09.package from the media. I have PC CD Rom software only. Any solutions?
