tremel

i just got the sims 2 for christmas . i loaded in fine. then i tryed to go on line and it says no dail tone . there is nothing wrong with my phone line . don't know what to do. i took out the sims 2 and was able to go on line if anyone knows what to do please help me ? must have toloaded out and in sims 2 20 times in a week thats not good. i readly what to play it.
