nvm i got it to work but i still cant install AIM i get an error: error: Failed dependencies: libstdc++-libc6.1-1.so.2 is needed by aim-1.5.286-1 how do i install AIM?

I just gon Mandrake 10.1 and this is my first time using linux. How do i log in as ROOT? i cant install anything becuse i need to be loged in as ROOT and if you have AIM please post your S/N thanks in advance
