Nevermind... It ended up being my modem was storing mac addresses within the modem itself... thus couldn't establish a connection with the new comp... In the words of my white brotha Napoleon... GEEZ!!!

This same thing is happening to me also... Stupid windows.

Hopefully someone reads this who can help... I am installing windows xp pro w/ sp2 on a Asus P4P800 DLX motherboard, P4 3.0C intel, etc etc Anyway, the installation of windows go just fine. But after I install the driver for the 3 com gigabit lom.. it maintains that no internet connection is available, despite being connected to a working connection (tested on other computers to make sure) I am absolutely stuck with this because I can't think of anything to fix this... Any ideas, or even better, solutions, would be sooo appreciated! Jeremy
