Problems with Service Pack 2 to Windows XP

A very strange problem I think as I've installed it on a few machines in work and these seem fine (P4 +AMD xp) My specs are here: http://www.meshcomputers.com/updated/xtreme_2.htm Has anyone else had problems like this? And old question this, but the answer is SP2 conflicting with the AMD 64bit processor.. A fix is available from Mesh computers directly at their website..
  2. I got AOM to play on a A7V8X-MX-UAY with the VIA Unichrome built-in graphics. I added these to the gfxconfig folder in AOM's folders: 0x5333_s3.gfx dated 29/08/2002 copied and renamed to two items: 0x1106_s3g.gfx 0x7205_s3g.gfx savage4.gfx copied and renamed to: ViaS3G.gfx

    Help Ghost in the Machine!

May not be of any use, but I had the same problem a while ago.. PC was freezing with no process running etc, fine when using games and stuff.. I found the problem to be a dodgy Windows XP driver for my Netgear NIC card, got a new version from the website, and voila, problem sorted.. Hope this helps
