  1. Alrighty, first of all, i've been looking around, and with over 2000 posts in the XP games and NT games section, also in mind no advanced search, I can't find the answer here. I do know it... I figured it out a long time ago. So... To start off... When running some of the newer "wonderful" microsoft operating systems, and trying to play a game, some of you probably don't get any music. This is because the game uses music off of the CD, wow, I bet I feel like a genius. I had the fix for this a while ago, and I guess my problem is if anyone knows where to get it, as i got it round 3 years ago, and unfortunately I don't keep things. I'm pretty good with comps, so, believe me, I've tried every other fix idea for this bad boy... The main game examples I know are Metal Fatigue (Got bad reviews from many people, but I love it) and Total Annihilation (I won't say any more). Many games use the same thing though. The last forum I looked at, when I found the fix for this problem, it was talking about how games like those ?Electronically? (not sure on the word) try to work the cd playing. Apparently, these newer OSes aren't real nice with that... Well, the fix was sumthing like, it was a patch for the IDE, ASPI, or SCSI driver connection. No clue which one, and this solved my problems, but it's nowhere to be found. I'd love it if someone knew where this was on the net... Cause well, games to me aren't real enjoyable without their soundtrack. Hope somebody knows the answer to this, and well, thanks. I don't feel like looking and all that for all my comp info, and it aint really needed, cept the fact i'm on XP Pro... Thanks, Tom
