I fought installing windows.. I have installed it on the same hardware many times before... but this evening it just wouldn't work, any of the 10 times I tried with different configs and hardware.
THE SOLUTION
To solve the problem... Just make sure your master drive is jumpered right... and the DVD burner jumpered right!
(mine are master - master on different IDEs)
I put master disk at the last connector of the primary IDE and the DVD burner at the last connector as master on the secondary IDE.
And like magic... It worked.
