I'm running a system under xp (Home edition, (I think with SP2) and was trying to install and play Populous The beginning. After applying all the relevant patches to allow the game to play under xp (Patch pack V1.03) I found that I have another problem, one of my own making i think, It would seem that my .dat files have, at some point, become associated with Windows Media Player and the game refuses to acknowledge that they exist. I've tried to change the .dat extensions file association with WMP but can't seem to fix the problem, any sugestions, helpful hints would be much appreciated. Cheers
