Unfortunately I haven't played FF7 on PC, yet "only" on PS, and I still think that only patch could help here. Couldn't be more helpful, sorry.

Hmm... if you have DirectX9 then there should be absolutely no problem, as far as I know, but still I guess you must download/install directx7. I had similar problems, although with different games, and it appears that each's compatible with certain DirectX versions, so "The newer, the better" doesn't work here. Can't seem to find any other cause of this problem...

Simple - reinstall XP.

You didn't read my post carefully. I said CD can't Open (Starcraft Icon is shown but I can't Open CD so niether Auto-Play can start niether can I run Setup.Exe or Install.Exe. Of course I tried doing that in first place.)

Hi, I am newbie and I've got problem with Starcraft on Windows XP Professional. When I insert Starcraft CD into CD-ROM, auto-play doesn't work niether does Open. However, I tried installing Starcraft on my other computer with Windows 95 and it works perfectly. And you don't have to bother, it isn't CD-ROM's fault because other CDs worked fine on WinXP. I suppose patch is needed or something. If it is please somebody tell me where I can get it because I searched through whole net and if it's something else then somebody please tell me. Thanks
