My flatmate uses skybot search and distroy one a month on our pc to clean it up. However i've noticed that each time he does it, my "directX" driver thingee-ma-jig gets "distroyed" and so i have to re-download it. Does anyone know if there is a way i can put it in a safe list or something so that it doesn't get deleted? We have Windows XP home edition. Would really appreciate any help!

And you're not able to take it to your local video shop and have the top couple of layers of the cd sanded off? I dunno, just a suggestion... good luck with it though

Wow i never realised how many problems The Sims 2 had... My old flatmate installed the game for me a couple of months ago, but then it crashed and i've decided to reinstall it an try some of the suggestions on here....and heres my problem: I can't find the "code" that i need to start the installation (the one thats asked for on the very first screen of installation). I can't contact my old flatmate to see where he found it. I still have the box that it came in, and all the cds. Can someone please help, I WANNA PLAY THE SIMS......... Where is the code located??
