Hi AZ,
Good News. As I said, removing DirectX key from registry did unload the incomplete DirectX application. Though I was unable to restore DirectX ver 8 at all, I was able to reinstall DirectX Ver 9.0b from one of my online games.
This resolved my Network problem and I'm able to play my Networked games. Thanks a million.
Hi Relic,
I appreciate your suggestions also. However, the DirectX Eradicator 2.0 reported "This version of Windows is not supported." I'm running XP Home SP-2. (???)
The full-Monty DX9 ran similarly to the 9.0c updates, that is, seemed to operate properly except jumped immediately to FINISH with "Now ready to use." and it's not there.
I'm not in a hurry. I probably could even wait until 9.0d as my main trouble has been corrected.
Thank you also.
