  1. I'm running NT 4.0 workstation (not on a network) and IE 6.0. Whenever I encounter a website that requires Adobe Flash Player, the "do you want to install ..." query pops up. So far, so good. A short time after I reply NO, the generic "Microsoft Internet Explorer has encountered a problem and needs to close. We are sorry yadda yadda yadda" and, boom, the window closes (and re-opens to my homepage). Well, after three or four of these episodes, I caved in and said YES to the "do you want to install ..." query. Guess what? Same problem. Help me.
  2. Thanks Peter for the reply. I was hoping to avoid scrapping NT and will try your suggestion about buying a USB to serial converter cable. I assume that would be plugged into an 'empty' 9 pin receptacle in the back of the tower?
  3. Has anyone worked around the apparent incompatibility between NT and the software in this camera? I have two plugs in the front of my tower that accept the cable from the camera, but nothing seems to happen. The techs at Nikon tell me that the software that came with the camera doesn't work with NT. Is there a workaround of some kind? I am hopelessly ignorant about computers.
