  1. I recently purchased my WD hard drive so i could transfer my info to a new drive, so I could format the old one. the problem is that after installing the new hard drive (the original time) it worked perfectly, which is when i moved all my information (music, movies, pictures, etc.) to the new hard drive. I then proceded to reformat the old hard drive and then reinstall windows on the old hard drive. Then after getting windows running, i installed the data lifeguard tools. In one of the first steps it wanted me to do was to reformat the new hard drive that i was using as a back-up location(a 250GB WD). I didn't want to reformat it and lose all my information so i wanted to know if there was a way of getting the drive installed and working without losing all my information. As a note, i used WD's software to try and install my WD hard drive in all these cases.
