  1. I have tryed multiple guides on how to get them to work but I have made no progress (http://fedoranews.org/mediawiki/index.php/Fedora_Core_4_Linux_Installation_Notes#nVidia: ) and the official nVidia instructions but still nothing. Does anyone have any tips and/or a rebuilt/RPM of the drivers or am I not going to be able to use my GFX card with drivers?
  2. Ok, I installed the Kernel-source then rebooted into init level 3, installed the drivers and it works nicely Step by step 1. Download official nVidia drivers 2. Download matching kernel-source to your Kernel version 3. as root, edit init level in /etc/inittab to 3 from 5 4. Reboot 5. login as root and run nVidia.mun file 6. after completion, type init 5 to go back to a GUI 7. Change /etc/inittab back to original value 8. Tada
  3. Ok, after doing some reading around, it seems I need to download the kernel source also, Im downloading the RPM currently for kernel (2.6.14-1.1653_FC4) and will update when I complete this and attempt to install the GFX drivers.
  4. Ok, I set the runlevel to 3 and log-in as root, I start the .mun file, I get the accept screen, I accept, then it asks to connect to FTP which it does then it asks to attempt to build a driver for this version of linux in which it fails. It is a PNY Geforce 6600GT running on my own custom built machine (32-bit). Any help would be greatly appreciated Dustin
  5. Solved, used an above guide that tells to use the i686 and the i386 RPM's, rebooted and it worked
  6. I too am trying to install this same card, I have the H/W version B1 and the F/Ware is 2.11 (apparently supported). I've tryed many ideas, using yum and building source packages and was going to use a few RPM's if I could find the correct one/had all dependencys. Can someone give me a super-laymans terms guide on how-to do this. I'm currently (temporarily) connecting thru an iBook using Connection Sharing (wired)
