Ok, i have a asus sli motherboard, and a amd 64 3800 x2 processor, a 7800 gtx and 2 gb of corsair ram ddr, and nforce raid. and a enermax 530 watt powersupply sli certified. Now to the problem. Im playing game and for example i could be walking around and all of a sudden i turn and i get this choppy performance every few seconds, when playing in half life 2 theres a lot of stuff going on i just get lag like skipping, it could be smooth for a few seconds but as soon as i shoot or something its like a split second freeze up and its really annoying. but i never crash to the desktop. or anything its just minor glitches that becomes annoying. i could have over 100 fps then like nothing suddenly drop to 20 or 30 then jump right back up. ive tried everything from drivers up[censored] and lowering graphics. even lowering my settings doesnt help. i used to have a dell 8400 with a 6800 and never got any glitches or anything. but now since i upgraded thinking it was going to be smoother and much better gameplay its been worse. ive tried buying a 7800 gt and it still the very same thing. the only thing i can think of is going to a 6800 again. if its the 7800 y am i no seeing any post bout glitching like this? thanks i really appreciate it. Ive already tried up[censored] drivers and everything for everything possible lol. i defragged too!
