samsung sd612 dvd-rom will not plat dvd's since xp upgrade

I was having a problem with Media Center/XP not recognizing my SD-612, although it was seen in the bios. I first installed the adaptec aspi, then followed the steps on: http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;320553 (method 1) And it is now recognized and reads cd's and dvd's fine. FYI...
