For any one who has had a error code 88780078 bad direct sound driver ect...... and lost sound on their comp, if you can return to a restore date / time, you may find it one way of rectifying the problem without having to find, uninstall then re install drivers. If you have this error you may find that in the device directory all drivers are shown to be functioning correctly, there is a problem with up [censored] so you have to re install the original drivers, and blah blah blah, so to save any problems if you can restore then give it a go. Just thought i may save at least 1 person hours of stressin and trying to rectify a problem.

please help i was getting error message 88780078 and followed your advice and removed drivers however i am now getting info asking for me to insert disc i dont have one can you tell me where i can get cm18738 / c3dxpci audio device from i dont have a clue what is going on PLEASE HELP! regards Chris
