Hi, I have been facing teh same problem and i have tried all methods mentioned including registry addition and usb reinstallation. I am using XP-2 on Intel D845GVSR mother boardand USB 2.0 installed.I am using Frontech JIL-750 usb webcam. I am getting this USB malfunctioning error regularly and i am not able to get a permament solution.
