hey guys n girls recently boughta new pc and decided to transfer my stuff securly by putting it in a win rar folder with a password and ive gone and forgotten the password. anyone know how to resolve my forgetful problem and access the folder by removing the password.. ive tried a password software program and it was an epic fail

hi all ive been trying to open a port now for some time. ive been successful with opening the ports for my xbox but now need to open them for limewire. my friend has some photos of a vacation and wants me to download em from here. dont ask hes weird. doesnt like emails apparently (freak). anyway using other forums ive narrowed down that i need port 6346 open along with any other but it doesnt work for me. ive always hated limewire coz its a difficult engine to maintain a connection with. it worked once but now it doesnt work. what am i doing wromg apart from agreeing to my friends weird ways

i managed to fix my laptop only to be a bright spark and begin installing windows again coz it desperatly needed it. however i didnt realise i need some special toshiba xp disc to do this and now windows xp wont work properly at all. i am limited to turning the laptop on and off

cheers i did so and as u said they suggested the recovery cd for a price but i decided not to because when i reinstalled windows it formats the hard drive so nuffin is there. the only answer is to ship it off.

i recently got a bloodhound virus through msn. a freind "apparently" sent me a file. i later discovered that it wasnt her. but norton did not detect this even after scanning the file.. so i deleted it but i begun getting norton popups telling me that my outgoing emails could not b sent. i havnt sent any emails for weeks. so i did a full system scan and it found tis bloodhound virus. at this point i was relieved and removed it.. but that wasnt the end. i removed it twice more and still it kept popping up. whats worse is norton cant detect the virus now but im still getting messages. ive even tried changing my passwords is there a way to completely remove this coz its causing major problems now. i talked to symnatec but they said for them to fix it i would have to pay their premium £64 rate.. HA dont think so

file is known as c:windows\system32\tymis.exe processes are known as c:windows\system32\tymis.exe -- must be the file creating the processes registry is known as HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run->likooje ive tried to understand the step by step of deleting registry files but it just doesnt make sence to me

theres me thinking i got rid of it bt its come back bt this time norton picked up on it and it says it is located in a file, a registry entry and a process under details im guessing this is the registry location it says HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\CurrentVersion\Run->likooje but reading the instructions on how to remove it from the system editor and the registry is all gobbledigook to me

norton detected it the first three times but after that it couldnt find it anymore. however it has now stopped giving me grief and has subsided after i changed every password i could think of. but the file which caused this problem wont delete. is there a way to delete it coz my freind also has it on her pc but thankfully i warned her just in time. because of this i no longer use any file sharing utility wether it be msn or limewire. but thankyou for the helpful articles... much appreciated

hi all a couple of problems... 1st.. both my desktop and laptop seem to be missing a sound device and/or driver. i need to know how to fix this problem. 2nd.. i tried installing realtek ac97 audio software and it has somehow removed the cd drive on the laptop. ive tried to get it back but with no success. please help!!!

i managed to fix the laptop by going to the toshiba website and downloading from there... however i thought this would be a good oppurtunity to reload xp onto it.. what i didnt realise is that i needed a special toshiba xp cd --what the hell is one of those- as for the other computer it is telling me theres nothing wrong its just missing a sound device. any reffurances

heyy there ive been asked to help fix a friends computer. and i need a little guidance. she has somehow managed to stop all the usb ports from working. she has reinstalled windows and both service packs and still nothing. is there a website which i can dowload a usb driver from or is there another way. i wouldnt mind but ive allready fixed her second pc and her laptop her kids managed to bust

ive been trying to open a port to allow my xbox a good connection. but everything i try doesnt work. ive been using instructions with portforward.com but even their way doesnt seem to work. problem is they dont tell you what u need to put in. i know that the xbox uses ports 88 and 3074. ive added these but i don know wether it needs to be outbound or inbound traffic, aparently the 3074 port needs to be on both, and the 88 port on one, but neither xbox.com, portforward.com or even netgear.com tells me how i almost threw my router across the room yesterday, its really aggravating me now.

thanks, it hasnt worked as of yet, i now know exactly which ports to create but i just need to know which ones are inbound service and which ones are outbound service.

hey everyone i recently bought a netgear DG834G router. ive put it tigether and i am constantly trying to configure it but am becoming frustrated. it comes with a cd manual and by god it is slower tan my nan on a tortoise. plus it doesnt actually explain to you how to configure it WTF can anyone help me pleeeeease

it connects to the computer via an ethernet cable, the addres im supposed to put in is "http://192.168.0.1" . once i put this in it doesnt work, the netowrk runs fie but i just cant get internet access through it. my instructions from the net gear team is to remove the adsl sppedtouch modem which was supplied with my broadband, plug in the netgear as specified and run the address to log it in.

to the T. but it doesnt explain properly how to configure it. it tells you to put in a web address which is suppose to open up a login page for the router but all i get is page cannot be displayed

hi im not very literate when it comes to computers so sorry for the briefness. a certain folder, im not sure what it contains anymore coz its been that long since the problem began. i go to enter it via double click and it comes up with an error report and shuts the screen down. ive noticed that whatever it is it stops my webcam and my hp software from working. WHAT THE HELL IS IT! a friend suggested deleting it in safe mode...i tried it and it didnt work.. hes now suggested summin else but i just looked at him blankly coz i aint got a clue what he was saying please help anyone

hey everyone, soory i havnt been posting lately, thanks for all the tips on how to fix my problem. im not exactl sure what happened but i tried o go into the folder yesterday and it let me in. it wouldnt let me delete the file so i went into safe mode and used the command prompt and hey presto it worked. my computer is now running they way it should be, all thanks to you guys. thanks a bundle

point taken. you might like to know that i managed to get into the folder without it closing down. i was scanning something and t took me to the photo viewer as normal. from there i was able to change the option allowing me to view other files and everything in there was fine so i transfered everything i could to a different flder and sure enough only one remained. it appears to be either a txt file or a video file. i would give you the name but 1. if i try to copy anything in realtion to it, it shuts down and 2. the name is all i. this weird square writing just vertical rectangles is all i can describe it as. i was also checking my security and it seems that ive had a breach as well so maybe it could have been planted or maybe im just paranoid ill post the screen shot soon as poss though

unfortunatly i tried it ths way. and as i typed dir/p to see the files in the directory file. it closed down. i tried again and again and it still does the same thing. is there any way to delete the folder without having to view whats in it p.s sorry about the lateness of my reply as ive been on holiday

i recently bought C&C first decade. it installed fine with no problems. however when i go to play C&C or C&C red alert on the disc it goes blank and my screen flashes saying out of frequency. the game however is playing in the back. i have sound but no visual

i tried it but as soon as u right click the folder it closes the window... however i tried to do a norton anti virus scan it did it completely but it failed to scan that one folder. is it possibl a virus?
