make and model are at the top but is upgraded to 256mb. it shows information on the ati card but havent tried uninstalling the onboard before installing the cards drivers.

yeah its V5.0 yeah it should be compatible and i have gone through that stuff in the BIOS

my problem is that the motherboard does not detect it properly. it detects it as an SIS 315e card and will not let me install the proper drivers. i did uninstall it though.

i have an asrock p4i45gv motherboard and just got an ATI Radeon 9800 graphics card with 256Mb of RAM and agp8x but i am having trouble installing and using properly. can anyone help???

Wilhelmus: what i meant was that most games do not work on other types of operating systems such as linux or mac otherwise i would have switched a while ago.

vista had better be good because i find that xp is one of the most annoying operationg systems around. trouble is that most games dont work on anything else. if anyone else feels the same way please back me up here.

if you know the model name of your acer machine then i would suggest going to their website and searching for the model. unless you have a modified machine they should show you what model network card it is and also point you in the right direction for drivers.

i have a p4i45gv motherboard and want to get a graphics card for it. i have seen the support list at asrock.com but i have no idea if any of them are 256mb cards and that is what i am looking for so if anyone has any suggestions?
